“Can I join in!?” 😃 Mal exclaimed as he watched me grooving to the beat. “ME TOO!?” Silas came running in from the next room, his face glowing with joy. 🏃♂️Huh, why were they so excited? 🤨Something had piqued their interest…Could it be that our salsa dance lessons Larissa and I did last year really had lifted my dance game? 💃Nah… 👎Perhaps it was the good old Bag Raiders, just working their magic…Hmm…And then it clicked…💡Could the reason for this crazy, impromptu, silly, dance party in our living room be…Simply, because I took the lead on something that I knew they would enjoy? 🤔I certainly wasn’t trying to force the moment. without training wheels… at age 2…

But this…This just happened. And we ended up loving it!It reminded me of one time when I was their age…My brother and I were at a playground with my mum when she started doing this funny-looking walk along the edge of the playground. 🚶♀️“Muuuum….

“The WOBBLY WALK!” She called back as she kept on going, wobbling about without a care in the world. 🐙“...Can I join in!?” 😃That’s probably one of my first memories of my mum.I just wish that I had more memories from that time of her life. 🤗I know (first-hand) that Mother’s Day isn’t easy for everyone…I had a great mum, but I know not everyone has had that experience.And, like me, not everyone has their mum around anymore to share the joy of the day with. 💔But if you do, I am genuinely so, SO happy for you! 😊Soak it up, it’s priceless! 😍Now days, I am blessed to enjoy celebrating Mother’s Day with my wife and kids, and my Mother-In-Law!
