Dad Certified in 2026: What’s New, What We’ve Learned and What’s Next

As we write this on 5 August 2026, Australian Father’s Day is just over a month away, our family is growing again and Dad Certified is very much active.

But our blog has been far too quiet.

Dad Certified hasn’t. Far from it. 😅

We’re still writing to our email community, designing products, packing orders, helping customers, raising our three children, preparing to welcome another baby and learning (sometimes gracefully, sometimes the hard way) how to run a family business in the thick of family life.

If you’ve looked only at this blog, you may have reasonably wondered:

“Are these people still here?”

We are!

And we’re more committed than ever to the reason Dad Certified began.

Our mission is still the same

Dad Certified exists:

To build greater confidence in dads for a more fulfilling fatherhood experience.

Fatherhood can be deeply rewarding and still feel overwhelming.

Most dads don’t need another lecture about trying harder.

They need practical ideas, a little encouragement and tools that make meaningful time with their children easier to begin.

That continues to shape everything we create.

What we’re working on right now

Quite a lot is happening behind the scenes.

We’ve launched something completely new for dads

In 2025 we introduced the Dad Bod Workout Dice: a playful way for dads to move their bodies while involving the kids.

The idea came from a very real problem: knowing exercise would help me feel stronger and more energetic, but struggling to stick with workouts that competed with family time.

So we created something that turns the kids into part of the workout rather than another reason it doesn’t happen.

We brought the Dadventure Deck to the United States

Earlier this year (2026), we launched the Dadventure Deck in the United States in the lead-up to US Father’s Day in June.

It took plenty of work to get there, but seeing Dadventure Decks reach dads and kids on the other side of the world is incredibly encouraging.

The idea remains exactly the same: help Dad choose an activity, make time with the kids and create moments they’ll remember.

Our family is growing alongside the business

Dad Certified remains a small Australian family business run by us, Jeremy and Larissa.

We’re still the founders, product designers, marketers and customer service team.

We’re also Mum and Dad to three young children, with another baby on the way!

We’re getting close to the halfway mark now and are very excited to start sharing that news more openly.

Dad Certified isn’t built from a quiet office separate from family life.

It’s being built right in the middle of it.

Between school work, snack requests and the everyday needs of three little people.

After bedtime.

Alongside the real joy, noise, tiredness and ridiculousness that comes with raising young kids.

Why we’re returning to the blog today

We never stopped communicating with our community. We’ve continued sending regular emails containing family stories, parenting ideas, date-night prompts, practical activities and honest lessons from behind the scenes.

Many of those updates deserve a more permanent home.

Today, we’re picking the blog back up properly.

We’ve started by bringing some of our best email updates here, cleaned up, expanded and clearly dated, alongside genuinely new articles.

From here, you can expect:

  • simple Dadventure and family activity ideas;
  • practical encouragement for dads;
  • relationship and date-night ideas for parents;
  • honest stories from our family and business; and
  • helpful gift guides without pretending every occasion needs more “stuff”.

What we’re focused on today

With Australian Father’s Day just over a month away, our focus is helping families give dads more than another object to put in a drawer.

The Dadventure Deck gives dads and kids 50 activity ideas to choose from.

The Dadventure Diary Box Set adds a place to record those adventures and keep the photos, drawings and stories that come out of them.

Because the best gift isn’t simply the deck or the diary.

It’s the time Dad spends using it.

Thank you for being here

Whether you discovered us this week or supported one of our earlier businesses years ago, thank you.

Every order, review, email reply and photo shared with us helps this little family business keep building products we believe in.

And yes, Dad Certified is very much active.

We’re here.

We’re building.

And we’re cheering dads on. 🙌
