About Us
Today I wanted to share a little bit about us, our family I mean.
Our family is made up of Jeremy (myself), Larissa, Malachi(2), Silas(1) and Finn (the Labrador), and we live on the New South Wales Central Coast.
Larissa and I have been married for five and a half years, but we’ve been together for almost 13 years (yes high school sweethearts 😍).
Things we love:
🌳 Getting outdoors with the kids,
🤗 Spending time with family and friends,
🍕 Eating Pizza and Mexican,
⚽ Playing sports and games,
💒 Going to church,
✈ Travel (what’s that again?),
🎬 Watching movies.
Our Story
We both went to uni. I studied Innovation Engineering and Larissa studied Media, specifically Film Making.
Would we do the whole university thing again if we had the chance to redo? Maybe…
We both enjoyed our degrees but have decided most of what we learnt we don’t use today.
However, we learnt how to learn, which is invaluable in today’s world.
Plus we had the privilege of spending 6 months in the US on university exchange together!
Along with having an amazing time experiencing college life (and racking up an even bigger HECS debt), we made some life-long friends along the way who we’ve travelled the world to visit since.
Toward the end of my engineering degree, after 6 years of commuting 4 hours a day to uni, I decided working a typical engineering job, which would likely involve more commuting and a fair bit of sitting, wasn’t for me.
So instead, we started our first business, Page and Pine.
The First Business
Page and Pine is an online wooden toys and homewares business which we loved building from the ground up.
We learnt so much from running Page and Pine including how to run a profitable business as well as how to design and sell high quality products that people actually wanted.
We often joke that running Page and Pine was our crash course in business which we missed out on at university, except, we got paid to learn instead of having to pay.
We loved building Page and Pine and managed to turn it into a streamlined and thriving business by the time we sold it to its’ amazing new owners, Jessie and Brad, last year.

We finished handing over Page and Pine the week before Silas was born; part of the reason for selling.
We were ready to take some time off before taking on our next big adventure as a family.
But before that, in the midst of having kids and planning to selling Page and Pine, we started our second business; Salt of Australia.
The Second Business
Salt of Australia is an online Christian Apparel store, but not your stereotypical stuff, it’s the kind you’d actually wear.
Vastly different from our first business (where at one point we were making everything ourselves), Salt of Australia was almost completely hands off.
Larissa’s (amazing) t-shirt designs were printed to order by our printing partner and shipped straight to the customer.
This was a great creative outlet for Larissa but with two kids to look after and with Dad Certified beginning to heat up we decided to pass the business onto someone who had the time and energy to invest in it so that we could focus on growing Dad Certified.
We have just sold Salt of Australia earlier this month (July) to its new owner’s Sion and Andrea, an incredible couple also from the Central Coast!

At this point we’d like to think we’re pretty good at building online businesses and developing high quality products that really do make people’s lives better.

Get your kids out of the house this weekend and make some memories!
Here’s a few ideas for you. Choose one suitable to your kid/s ages and the weather:
1. Kite Flying (if the wind is good) 🪁
2. Laser Tag (or even laser skirmish or paintball if they’re older) 🔫
3. Stone Skipping (a timeless activity) 🤽♂️
